Leaders in the industry unite
Bandana Tewari from Craft Diplomacy opened the day with a keynote explaining why the future needs more compassion. The summit continued with a review from the Pop Up Think Tank on Fashion Culture, presented by Prof. Friederike von Wedel-Parlow from the Beneficial Design Institute. Following that, Patrick Duffy from Global Fashion Exchange interviewed Amanda Parkes from Pangaia/Future Tech Lab about her extraordinary journey. We saw two inspiring best-practice demonstrations from the industry with Cecilia Palmer/The Craft Atlas and Rune Orloff, who talked about his rental service “Pool”. To conclude, Melissa Drier, former German correspondent from Women’s Wear Daily, Prof. Dr. Renate Strauss from the American University of Paris and Rune Orloff exchanged their viewpoints in the panel “Re-defining fashion culture – from fast desire to true pleasure and beauty” moderated by Geraldine de Bastion.
