Hewing XChange

On December 3, Hewing Hotel, LUUM collective and Global Fashion Exchange host The Hewing XChange, a holiday shop and swap event, putting a sustainable twist on our annual holiday market. 

Aliging with UN Sustainable Development Goal 12, Responsible Production and Consumption, The Hewing XChange creates awarnes through swapping and sharing gently used items and local, artisan and made-by-hand products that reflect the spirit of the season. 

SWAP - To join the swap, guests will be asked to contribute up to 10 items with a suggested retail value of $20 or more. One token exchanged for each item contributed. Items can be dropped off at the Hewing Hotel on the following days or the day of the day of the event starting at 11AM.

• Nov 29-Dec 1 from 4:30-6:30pm
• Dec 3 from 11 am-12 pm

To close the loop on waste, all unswapped will be reclaimed and repurposed by local woman own business FR8 Clothing or donated to Arc Value Village ensuring that the holiday spirit of giving extends beyond The Hewing xChange.

SHOP  - Guests will have the chance to shop an exciting curation vintage sellers, local artists, designers, unique holiday gifts and handcrafted goods from local makers and styled by stylist and vintage fashion expert, Kenny Washington of Black Nvni Vintage. While guests shop, a DJ will spin festive seasonal tunes to bring the holiday spirit. 

SWEETS - The Hewing XChange sweet shop will be adjacent to the ballroom selling delectable holiday treats from local bakers and patisserie makers. There will also be high holiday energy around a variety of activations, such Santa photos, custom wreath making, an interactive photo experience and a pop up tree lot in the back alley.
