Clothing swaps are an innovative way to address the issue of sustainability in the fashion industry. By swapping clothes, participants can reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to a more sustainable future. GFX Dubai is the first large-scale clothing swap event in the UAE, happening with the support of renown fashion and design school, Istituto Marangoni Dubai.

The fashion industry is one of the largest contributors to environmental pollution and waste, and it is essential to take collective action towards a sustainable fashion future. GFX Dubai is an opportunity for individuals to come together create community around positive actions for people and planet.

"We believe that our responsibility as educators and professionals in the fashion industry is to contribute to positive change by promoting sustainable fashion practices. We are thrilled to collaborate with Global Fashion Exchange on this clothing swap project and create a unique experience that promotes the circular economy while celebrating fashion" said Roberto La Iacona Director at Istituto Marangoni Dubai.

The event will be opened by Roberto La lacona, Institution Director at Istituto Marangoni Dubai and feature a panel discussion led by Journalist and Author, Sujata Assomull, including Elena Marinoni, Director of Education at Istituto Marangoni Dubai, Florence Bulté , Chief Sustainability Officer, Chalhoub Group and GFX founder Patrick Duffy and will focus on why we need a sustainable fashion industry and the importance of the circular economy.

Attendees can also participate in customization stations where they can learn how to "re-value" gently used items, and a photo booth where swap-goers can be photographed in their new looks.

Patrick Duffy, founder of Global Fashion Exchange, said, "GFX Dubai is a perfect example of how we can come together and take collective action towards a sustainable future. It is exciting to see institutions like Istituto Marangoni Dubai take a leadership role in promoting sustainable fashion practices, and we are thrilled to partner with them on this project."

Istituto Marangoni Dubai and Global Fashion Exchange are committed to promoting sustainable fashion practices and inspiring a new generation of conscious consumers. The clothing swap project is a unique opportunity for individuals to come together,

learn, and take action towards creating a more sustainable future.
